There was a benefit concert for Houston over the weekend which we have some pictures of and a website to view all that were taken. Needless to say it was a blessing to the family as has been the overwhelming support they continue to see coming their way. There is also another benefit concert coming up the Sunday before Thanksgiving:
Nov. 23: 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Location: The Eclipse - 6512 Raytown Rd. Raytown, Mo. 64163
Bands: Trampled Under Foot
Big House W/Mo Paul
Loose Change
Johnny 1 and the Receders
If you can come and support it will be a great encouragement to Houston and family. He received a couple of transfusions which boosted his energy level a bit but the past few days he has been feeling weak with a couple of complications. One being he might have picked up a bug. On Tue. Nov. 11 Houston celebrated his 16th birthday with a large group of friends and family and was even able to eat a little pizza. There is always room for pizza!
With all the amazing, wonderful things going on the backdrop is his weakening state. With the encouragement that comes there is also the intense pressure and tension occuring simultaneously that unless you have experienced it it is hard to explain. We need to cover Houston, Jim, Dakota, Michelle and others who are uo close to the battle withmuch prayer and intercession. I don't know much but I do know the enemy is out to kill, steal and destroy. If you have not been in a battle like this that notion may seem silly but it is as real as the battle afflicting Houston's body. But " on the contrary we have divine power to demolish strongholds" 2Cor. 10:4. So to those of you this makes sense to please pray. If you don't understand anything of what was just written, please pray. Everyone pray.
Thanks for keeping up with Houston and family. I have received some pictures which I will try to publish with this post. If I fail it is because I am a computer illiterate. Here is the website to view all the pictures that were taken. http://www.pixofevents.com/. Thanks again for your love and support.

Dear Houston!
You don't know me, but our families (the Waters) have known each other forever. I just wanted to tell you I am thinking of you and praying for you and your family. How cool that you got a Mustang! :) I pray you continue to enjoy the company of your friends and family and have fun at the concert coming up!
May the Lord bless you and keep you,
Elisha Waters Rurka
Dearest Houston-first of all-Happy Belated 16th birthday-you are an amazing kid and I am so very proud of the battle you are continuing to fight. Know that we are standing in the gap on your behalf and are fighting right along side you-please feel our prayers and love to you and Jim and bro Dakota. We will see you Sun. at the fund raiser and you just stay strong in the Lord! In Christ's resurrecting power and love, Marylyn (Rogers) Owens
Dearest Houston,
We are continuing to pray for you and your family. So glad you got to enjoy a Chiefs game, they have been playing much better and I am sure you were quite an inspiration to them as you are to so many of us. Stay strong, may God Bless all of you and may you feel His presence surrounding you always. Take care~~Misty & Bob Guyer (Jared's cousins from KC)
